Professional Practice at the CRTO
The role of the Professional Practice Advisor is to act as a resource to the Membership, the general public and our stakeholders in matters regarding the regulation of the profession of respiratory therapy. This includes providing guidance as to how the various legislation and regulations governing health care impact on the Respiratory Therapist’s (RT) day to day practice. The Professional Practice Advisor, under the direction of Council/ Committees, oversees the development and revision of the Professional Practice Guidelines (PPG), Clinical Best Practice Guidelines (CBPG) and administers the certification program submissions for advance prescribed procedures below the dermis.
