One of the primary objectives of the CRTO is to support the continuous professional development of its Members. Professional development encompasses many forms of learning opportunities, ranging from formal education, such as degrees, conferences, employer-based educational programs and certifications, to the less structured, day-to-day forms of learning, such as rounds, webinars and consultations with a colleague. Ongoing growth through professional development enhances a Respiratory Therapists (RTs) ability to provide safe, competent and ethical patient/client care.
Through the Quality Assurance (QA) program, GROW and various e-learning modules, the CRTO strives to offer its Members access to resources that will assist them in their professional development activities.
Please remember…if you are an RT, you may be able to access the Allied Health Professional Development Fund to cover some of the financial cost of your educational activities.
